for this asighnment I'll be writting explaning step by step what we did
10:00am on a tuesday our group members where ment to be there for an 3hour studio session and in this session we was given a task to create four different types of audio files
we started out by plaining together, we decided we was going to use the an dynamic D6 microphone for one of our group member to sing on. then we used the Titanium condenser microphone microphone to record the acoustic guitar.
The set up for the D6 mic was done by first using the pedalstool to hold the microphone then you made sure we used a cable with wife/husband plug we plugged it on to the wife part on to the husband part on the port 1. For the guitar we wanted used an AMP to make the sound louder so we plugged in the AMP on the soccet then we we used the microphone we agreed to use the Titanium microphone before we conncted the microphone we made sure that the stand was apropriate for the mic and we also made sure the mic was getting the full frequency of the AMP
After we checked that the every thing was safe and ready we in the recording area we went ib the control room at the begining we done a quick recap of what we new amogst our selfs we made sure we knew what channel the microphone was, at about 10:35am we started to test the mics we tested the guitar mic first with the condenser mic then we tried to test the vocals from channel 1 dynamics mic D6.The D6 mic wasnt stoped working and it took as a long time to fix the head phones we had help from the sound engineer and he showed as where the falt was with the headphones we forgot to put the master sound on for the head fones ofter intead of wasting more time on the D6 we decided to use the Titanium instead to record the vocals we done a quick test to see if every thing was okay.
The recording went well we only had to do about 4 takes with the guitar due to the timing being wrong then we done a quick recording of the singers voice.
at the end we struggled with the sound we wanted a loud full sound from the guitar but intead the guitar sounded really quiet, time was running out and we needed to record the guitar and the vocals again so we tried everything again we managed to do it in one take that time.
at the end we made sure the rooms was ready for the next group to use and we left every tidy left the cables on the right place and then we made sure that all of the channels was on the right place.
