the mixing panel on this track tends to be at the centre position through out the song but at the beginning they used a really up front bass with a repetitive bass line you can hear really quiet guitar and then a piano solo at the intro. same occasions the lead guitar comes in with a sway effect on the left side of the speakers really quietly to and then a different guitar comes in and with the same effect but louder on the right side, the this is a good example examples for grooves. Grooves are often formed with the repetitive bass line, electric guitar with a sway effect, keyboard plus a really recognisable synths, but what really should combine is the bass the drums and the guitar.
Repetitions is vital for funk because its was mainly formed for disco balls and clubs in the late 60s to early 80s
Question 2: Is this track a funk track? What musical / sonic components of the track suggest that it is and which suggest that it is not?
this track has a style which makes you think that ts a blue style music but the song it self is soul because the lyrics describes what he feels. Funk itself is about having fun the improvisation vocals and up tempo beat.
